Position: Quality Lead
Location: South Dakota, USA
Type: Full Time, Hourly

The Quality Lead is responsible for all Quality related to the installation of Wind turbines. This role oversees all mechanical and electrical works onsite. EWR is a full-service wind energy solutions provider offering turnkey installation, maintenance, crane services, project planning, and more to wind farms across North America.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Plan, organize and dispatch manpower and equipment based on a solid understanding of the scope of work, project requirements, and/or day to day operational needs.
  • Negotiate change orders as needed.
  • Ensure adherence to project timelines and schedule, communicate change with vested parties as needed.
  • Promote a positive engaging culture; coach, develop and train motivated employees to perform their best each day.
  • Conduct all business in a professional and respectful manner.
  • Develop and enhance business working relationships with various parties.
  • Attract, recruit, hire and complete the necessary paperwork for onboarding, training, and performance management in coordination with Human Resources and/or Safety.
  • Review and approve all timesheets and work orders before invoicing to confirm all receivables are included and the correct rates have been used.
  • Participate actively in financial reviews and provide revenue forecasts. Create and monitor project budgets and costs.
  • Maintain policies and procedures to ensure compliance with safety regulations, promote and participate in a positive and proactive safety culture.
  • Ensure that all incidents are reported, documented and reviewed in a timely manner in order to apply proper corrective measures.
  • Actively seek out new projects and customers, as well as maintain our current customer accounts.
  • Grow our business – new markets and clients.
  • Ensure all operations carried out are in compliance with legislation as well as Energy Wind and Renewable, LLC policies and procedures.
  • Support the preparation of quotations to client requests and ensure all quotations are in accordance with Energy Wind and Renewable, LLC
  • Ensure field employees have all necessary resources, equipment and PPE to perform their work safely.
  • Manage/control all tower documents such as job books
  • Create and file any NCRS throughout projects
  • Have a Detailed understanding on installation manuals
  • Manage Hold Points on projects (Pre-walk Inspections)
  • Ensure all Crew Foreman’s have all needed Documents such as (Installation manuals/ Work instructions)
  • Oversee/Document all inventoried components/hardware onsite
  • Perform other duties as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Experience working within the wind energy industry, techniques and procedures, occupational hazards and safety precautions.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field; or equivalent combination of education and industry experience. Minimum of 5 years of experience.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of task assignment and schedule.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to solve problems using sound professional judgment, creativity and innovation.

Working Conditions:

  • Overtime may be required.
  • Travel will be required from projects, as well as to the branch office and head office, as well as any customer meetings or training sessions.
  • Typically work will be performed in an office setting on site. However, when conducting site visits, and/or work site inspections there may be exposure to hazards or other physical risks.
  • There is limited physical demands of this position, however individuals may be required to sit for long periods of time, and they may have repetitive hand motions. One must be able to visit the worksite, and travel throughout the worksite on foot at times.
